Open app
Opens any app and waits until it is ready. USB phone: by its id, and the phone confirms it is in front. iMouse phone: through its own link when one is known (tiktok://, mobilenotes://…), else by tapping its icon on the home screen's first page. Then it checks the app is in front, and waits for its screen to stop moving, so the next step does not tap a screen still opening.

Close app
Closes any app and leaves the phone on its home screen. USB phone: closes it by its id, and the phone confirms. iMouse phone: brings the app to the front unless it is there already, then opens Shortcuts on top of it, so the app's card rests in the middle of the app switcher where its name can be read; waits for the cards to stop moving, checks the name, swipes the card up, and checks it is gone.

Unlock
Gets the phone to its home screen, from the lock screen or from inside an app. Presses Home, then Home again for a phone with a Home button — and a third time, because a phone that fell asleep inside an app wakes on the first press and unlocks back into that app on the second — then swipes up for a phone without one, and presses Home once more, checking for the home screen after each. It cannot get past a passcode.

Check the exit address
Finds the address the phone's traffic leaves from, and its country, and hands them back. iMouse phone: the phone reports it through iMouse's own Shortcut. USB phone: Safari opens a page that shows the address, it is read off the screen, and Safari is closed again.

Like it
Likes the video, reel or post on screen with its own heart — the side rail's, never a comment's — and checks the heart turned on: one tapped but never seen to turn on is a failure, "not confirmed". Never taps a like already given, which would take it back. Puts away an open sheet first; an ad is left alone. A feed of posts, with no buttons beside a full-screen video, is not supported and says so.

Like videos
Gives this many new likes, one video after another: likes the one on screen, then moves to the next and glances at it before liking it, passing over ads, videos already liked and ones it cannot like — up to three videos after the one it is on for each like — and says what each one passed over was. Liking five reels is this with times 5.

Next video
Moves to the next video, reel or post with a swipe up, checks the screen moved on, and waits for the new one to stop moving. Puts away an open sheet first. Made for full-screen videos: on a feed of posts it scrolls, but lines no post up with its buttons.

Open the comments
Opens the comments of the video or post on screen with its own comments button — the side rail's, never the Inbox — waits for the comments sheet and for it to stop moving. An ad is left alone.

Like a comment
Likes the next comment not yet liked on the open comments sheet, bringing more comments up when every one on screen is liked already (and waiting for the list to stop moving before it taps), and checks the heart turned on: one never seen to turn on is a failure, "not confirmed". Says so when the video has no comments. The comments must be open.

Comment
Posts a comment on the video or post on screen: opens its comments, taps the comment box, types the words, finds them in the box and the button that posts them — the word Post or the send arrow, never the gift or emoji buttons beside it — taps it, and checks the box emptied. Public: it posts for everyone to see.

Save it
Saves the video or post on screen: with the save button on the rail (TikTok, YouTube), or through Instagram's more menu — waiting for the menu to stop moving before it taps Save — seeing the collections sheet Instagram slides up after and putting it away. A save it cannot see take is a failure, "not confirmed". Never saves twice — a save already made would be taken back. Puts away an open sheet first; an ad is left alone, and a feed of posts is not supported.

Close the sheet
Puts away whatever sheet is open over a video or post — the comments, the share sheet, a more menu, Instagram's save sheet — or any app's pop-up (a card or a sheet with a way out: Not now, Cancel, a cross), and waits for the screen under it to stop moving. Does nothing when nothing is open.

Go to a tab
Opens one of the app's tabs from anywhere in the app — "reels", "home", "inbox", "profile", "friends", "search" (a tab, or the button at the top that does the same) — putting away a sheet or stepping back out of a page first, up to twice, and waits for the tab to stop moving. Does nothing on the tab already open, which a tap would reload. Checks the tab opened by what its screen says, and taps once more when it has not.
